Gastronomy & wine across the Balkans

A journey through some of Slovenia and Croatia’s most distinctive wine regions, where exceptional gastronomy, family-run estates and centuries-old traditions reveal a quieter, more intimate side of the Balkans.

Beginning among the rolling vineyards of Slovenia’s Vipava Valley, the journey pairs intimate winery encounters with a MICHELIN-starred dining experience rooted in the region’s seasonal produce and winemaking traditions. From here, the route continues into Istria, combining the hilltop villages and vineyards of the peninsula’s interior with Rovinj’s celebrated gastronomic scene, before heading south to Ravni Kotari, the fertile countryside behind Zadar and Šibenik, shaped by vineyards, olive groves and small farms.
